Job Description

Senior Manager with 18+ years of strong experience in end to end (Solutioning, development, testing, CI/CD, maintenance) metric driven delivery of large enterprise applications across multiple domains, leveraging modern technologies (Micro Services, modern UI) and tools (Cloud, DevOps), adopting agile process with effective stakeholder management, and globally distributed teams.

·         Adheres to Customer application development and client delivery process standards.

·         Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure

·         Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and problem areas

·         Ability to delegate projects to qualified subordinates as appropriate

·         Ability to lead, direct and manage effectively

·         Ability to operate independently

·         Ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Role/Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL

·         Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.

·         Must have capability to knowledge of modern technologies including Modern UI, Micro Services, Scalable service platform, Cloud native solutions, and Open-Source technologies.

·         Experience of setting up new capability centers within Application development space and contribute towards organization growth.

·         Experience in designing and solutioning auto scalable microservice applications using latest technologies on cloud platform like Azure/AWS

·         Extensive experience in designing architecture of enterprise applications using modernized aspects of Java/J2EE, .NET technologies

·         Extensive experience in designing applications using modern design patterns including micro service, Dependency injection frameworks, modern API, and modern databases.

·         Working knowledge on application Servers (Tomcat), REST Web Services experience and CI tools like Jenkins, Docker would be desirable

·         Experience in application calibration from multiple aspects including performance, scalability leverage modern calibration tools and strategies

·         Experience of delivering solutions to customer using Oracle Apps is highly desirable

DELIVERY

Experience in working closely with delivery team to apply strong engineering principles to develop best technical design and approach for development and delivery of projects

Experience in metrics driven delivery of projects with focused tracking of productivity, quality, customer experience and excellence of deliverables

·         Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback.

·         Demonstrate continuous improvement in delivery ownership from Staff Augmentation to Delivery to Product Ownership.

·         Designs & develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.

·         Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottom line impact

·         Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for the seller community on amazon.in marketplace that helps them succeed in their business goals.

·         Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.

·         Work at a Programmer level working with Program managers, project managers, Business Analysts, testing e.t.c to ensure deliveries are on time and with high quality

·         Help the team to identify risks and issues and properly communicate

Customer

·         Effective connects with customer to manage relationship and help delivery more

·         Ability to analyze client's business needs and recommend modern solutions and its usage to meet customer business goals

·         Ability to maintain positive working relationship with client

·         Demonstrate continuous improvement in customer engagement from Staffing to project delivery or product ownership

TEAM

Mentor and guide the team members in driving the solutions to customers and adopting the best engineering practices for developing software

·         Recruit and manage the team - Coach and Mentor the team members on career growth including performance management discussions. Be the evangelist for high performance culture

·         Creating and maintaining a healthy workplace environment

·         Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.

·         Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources billable time.

·         Manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews.

·         Assist team in overcoming development challenges and guide them to solutions

·         Strong mentoring skills

·         Develops and facilitates the business continuity plans for the application services wing accounts

·         Career management and development of direct reports
